Dementia is a challenging disease for patients and their family members. Thankfully, medical research and standards of care have come a long way.
At Montclair Care Center, we are better equipped than ever to provide those with dementia, Alzheimer’s disease and other memory-related conditions with the safe environment and joyful life they deserve. Our caring staff members meet our residents with dementia where they are that day, whether they are having a good memory day or a bad one. We don’t let memory issues determine how well the day goes!
PROGRAMS AND ACTIVITIES
All of our staff members are trained in the latest advances and care programs for dementia and memory care, and are pleased to provide support to family members as well, so that together we can provide a holistic care approach to those in our memory care program.
We offer special activities and unique therapies geared towards the cognitive and emotional needs of our residents, in a fun, caring, positive environment! Our tailored recreation programming includes music, art and pet therapy, sensory stimulation, cognitive games, gardening, and so much more.
SAFETY AT OUR CENTER
We take the safety of our residents very seriously. Our second floor is a secure dementia unit where residents can wander safely. Residents can quickly get the attention of our staff with our emergency call response system, which is equipped in every room.
Of course, our community is safe for those with dementia in other ways. Residents can relax here, knowing that they don’t have to cook, clean, maintain a property, or take on any other activities that are challenging for those with memory issues. And family can rest easy knowing that we are ensuring your loved one’s health, safety, and happiness.
